We build the SDL500L in our own workshop: a 500L tracked concrete mixer with a 15HP gasoline engine and a rubber crawler chassis. It exists for one reason. Concrete has to cross mud, gravel and soft ground, and a wheelbarrow quits long before the job does. The two clips below were shot on working jobs by the crews running the machines, not in a showroom.

Laying paths, setting foundations for sheds and greenhouses, pouring fence posts along village roads. The SDL500L mixes where the materials get dropped, then drives itself to the pour. One machine, one operator. No second unit, no extra pair of hands, no waiting on a truck mixer.

Watch it work

Short, unedited footage: a batch gets loaded, mixed and hauled to the pour, and the camera stays with the machine the whole way. Nothing is sped up or cut short to make a cycle look quicker than it is.

What you get on the SDL500L

  • 500L of drum, roughly two and a half times a 200L machine. One batch covers a solid fence run or a small slab, so you refill less often and walk fewer laps.
  • A 15HP R420 gasoline engine, with enough reserve for heavy mixes inside the same compact footprint.
  • Rubber crawler tracks that cross mud, sand, gravel and soft topsoil without sinking, and climb the reasonably steep access ramps you can see in the clips.
  • Self-propulsion, which is the part operators notice first. The operator walks alongside instead of pushing a loaded barrow, so fatigue stops setting the day’s output.
  • A steel frame chassis, powder-coated for export so it survives sea freight and humid climates.

Where the 500L drum makes sense

A 500L tracked mixer suits any job where concrete has to travel more than a few meters over bad ground:

  • Rural and village road repairs. Patch a culvert or a gate approach in one batch.
  • Orchard and irrigation projects, channel lining, sumps and valve boxes.
  • Farming compounds, floors, cattle pens, feed bunkers.
  • Small commercial jobs, footpaths, parking edges, light retaining walls.
  • Greenhouse and nursery floors, where narrow aisles rule out bigger machinery.

What buyers ask before ordering

Mixing on the move is the point of a tracked mixer. The drum keeps turning from the mixing point to the pour, which holds the batch consistent across a long access path.

Operation is a one-person job. Throttle, drum and tracks are controlled at the console, with no remote to lose or recharge.

On spares, we keep a full parts list for every model we sell and ship spares worldwide. The R420 engine family is widely available locally in most markets.

Questions we get asked

How long does a batch actually take in this mixer?

The clip runs from loading to discharge without cuts, so you can time a working batch instead of guessing from an edited highlight. Batch time decides how many pours you finish in a day. Real time moves with the mix design and how the operator loads, so read the footage as a guide.

What drum capacity is the SDL500L?

It is a 500 litre class machine. That suits crews pouring in repeated batches rather than one long continuous pour. If most of your work finishes in one or two batches, this size keeps you productive: it mixes faster per batch and moves more easily than a bigger drum.

Can it mix and travel at the same time?

It travels with the drum on site, and that is where the labour saving sits. The machine goes to the materials rather than the materials being barrowed to the machine. Confirm the working method for your site and mix design with us before you order.

What engine does it use?

An R420 gasoline engine, 15HP, which is standard on this class of tracked mixer, mainly for lower weight and easier starting across different operators. Diesel starts to earn its extra weight when you run long continuous shifts and fuel consumption compounds. We confirm the exact engine in the specification you sign off.

Does it come with a warranty?

Twelve months against manufacturing defects. Wear items such as belts, seals and drum blades are excluded. The warranty clause that matters most is who pays freight on a replacement part, so ask us to confirm that in writing before you order, not while a claim is live.
